Is it winter, is it spring? It's Philly, so there's a 50% chance. Regardless we'll plenty of warm vibes and hot food options for you at this weekend's DOUBLE SIZED East Falls Farmers' Market on Saturday (February 26th, 2022). We're in the same place, under the Twin Bridges with its "winter hours" of 11am - 1pm.  This weekend we'll have more than 20 vendors including Twisted Gingers Beer, Milk Jawn, Smokebreak BBQ, Angie's Vietnamese Cuisine, Sazon 2 Go, and hot soups from Moishe's!

As usual we request that if you are feeling sick, or like you are coming down with something, please stay home and ask a neighbor to do shopping or pickup for you. We will have hand sanitizer and/or anti-bacterial wipes available.

Stay safe, healthy, and strong East Falls, and eat well!

Nothing helps us get the word out better than you!

This week's vendors:

Amira's Delights: Amira bakes products made with wholesome, minimally processed ingredients. Fruit and veg ingredients come from local farmers, and flour is milled in PA at Castle Valley Mill. Amira has a wide range of offerings, made fresh to order. Cookies, cakes, mini loafs, muffins, breakfast rolls, crumb cakes, cheesecakes, and more! Amira is now taking preorders for EFFM pickup at www.amirasdelites.com

Angie's Vietnamese Cuisine: Angie's Vietnamese Cuisine is proudly owned by Lynh Pham and lovingly named in honor of her best friend, Angely Cintron, who passed from cancer in 2018.  Angie's is a mobile pop-up vendor that specializes in authentic Vietnamese and fusion cuisine and will be serving food this weekend! +pandan leaf waffles!

Betty's Acres sells cheeses, yogurt, milk, and ice cream from happy goats. Betty's Acres has NEW goat milk/goat cheese ice cream in chocolate or vanilla!  If you thought the other ice cream was good wait until you try this!!  It is so creamy and delicious!  Online orders are being taken now at Betty's Acres Square site.
They also sell Guernsey cow milk — plain or chocolate.  This milk is a golden color because the cow puts more beta carotene (found in carrots, which gives the milk a golden color) in the milk.
 
Brophy's Spring Hollow Farm will have their humanely raised beef, chicken, pork, lamb and eggs. Requests for pre-orders are taken now and until Friday at 12pm for Saturday pickup at the Spring Hollow Farm square site.

COVID Cruiser: Join Justine Bacon and the COVID Cruiser during the market in January to learn more about the at-home, over-the-counter COVID test, QuickVue. Justine will have a hand sanitizing station set up for the market vendors and attendees as well as providing a mask to anyone who needs one.

Dusteno Glass: Dustin is back with his borosilicate and soft glass pieces. He studied Scientific Glassblowing and Glass Art At Salem Community College and went on to work for Wheaton Arts Museum of American Glass History. Recently he's focused on soft glass products (cups, bowls, vases, glass pumpkins and other ornamental glass) and he’s excited to offer new seasonal items year round!

Everwild Farm is a small-scale farm founded on regenerative farming principles. They take immense pride in the effort they put into developing healthy soils and ecosystems that produce healthy plants and tasty vegetables. This week Everwild will continue to provide all your organically grown necessities -  bringing the flavor back to your plates with their locally famous mesclun salad mix, a wide variety of micro greens & shoots, and carrots!

Faiya is back this week offering their line of artisanal vegan hot sauces. Made with no sugar, additives, or preservatives. Helping the fight against food insecurity one bottle of hot sauce at a time!


Goddess Rising Intimates is back this week with soft cotton 100% plant dyed feminine bras and panties. "We make organic Pretty."

Hank's Cinnamon Buns: Hank is bringing his scratch made cinnamon buns to the market this week. Inspired by a request for cinnamon buns from his fiancee, Hank spent weeks practicing and perfecting his cinnamon bun recipe before presenting them to her. When he finally presented her the finished product, she took one bite, closed her eyes, and shook her head in pure happiness and exclaimed, “You need to sell these! Everyone needs to know what heaven tastes like!”. So come get a bite of heaven this weekend!

Note: McCann's Farm will be taking a break this spring. They'll be back for the start of the regular farmers' market season in May, 2022!

Milk Jawn: Milk Jawn is a handmade, premium ice cream company based in Kensington. Their flavors are made with local milk and cream, and include classics and new favorites, such as Chocolate Peanut Butter, Lemon Curd with Blueberry Basil Swirl, and Cold Brew with Caramelized Cacao Nibs. Milk Jawn was recently awarded Best Ice Cream by Philadelphia Magazine's Best of Philly 2021. See their website for more details.

Moishe’s Pickles will have all the fan favorites again this week, as well as Jack's Grandma Rose's Soups "Kosher Style and Original Flavor of New York's Lower East Side". All of Jack's soups are vegetarian, and this week they'll have lentel, split pea, minestrone, vegetable Soup and four Bean Soup. They will also have bagels, bialys and pletzels from Kossar's in NYC. Please email your pre-orders to [email protected]. As usual they'll have all of our favorite New York Style Kosher pickles! Take a photo of yourself eating their products, mention Moishe's Pickles on Facebook and send them the photo and you will get something for free!

Rowhouse Spirits: Dean Browne is back at the EFFM this weekend with his locally produced spirits!

Sazon 2 Go: "Enjoy our amazing treats inspired by Venezuelan culinary traditions. Our homemade empanadas are made mostly from fresh, local ingredients. We also sell fresh local fruit juices. Our chocolate is fair trade Organic Direct Trade bean to bar."

S&H Candles: Hector is back this weekend with his hand-poured clean burning soy wax candles! Shop online at shcandles.com for EFFM pickup or shop on Saturday down at the market. Special this weekend all candles 20% off!

SCB Naturals: Lakisha is back this Saturday with her vegan, organic, and eco friendly beauty products. Buy on Saturday or preorder via the SCB Website.

SmokeBreakBBQ: You've missed barbecue at the market, well its back, baby! (or is it baby back?)

Twisted Gingers: Twisted Gingers Brewing Company is a neighborhood taproom and Artisan Pizza Kitchen powered by passion for doing great things in life and taking a moment to celebrate them with great beer. Their 101 year old taproom is nestled in the hills of Roxborough halfway between Ridge Pike and Main Street Manayunk. Progressing the 1918 tavern legacy, the purpose is simple: Offer a fun craft beer experience with the freshest beer straight from the tanks. Working toward offering 8 beer recipes brewed onsite, local wines and ciders. 

Ursa Bakery will be at the market with artisan breads from flour grown and milled in PA. Preorders (made before 8am Friday) are highly recommended to ensure you get your bread via Ursa Bakery's website. Congratulations on being named BEST BREAD in Pennsylvania by Food & Wine Magazine!
