What's Happening at the East Falls Farmers' Market It's Thanksgiving week at East Falls Farmers Market! Be sure to come out and shop for your Thanksgiving essentials and don't forget those extra meals for guests around the holiday! Pasta is always a guest pleaser and the handmade pasta and provisions from Sorrentino Pasta + Provisions never miss! This week, we'll have HOT prepared food from Sazon2Go, and SmokeBreak BBQ. We'll have cakes and cookies from The Fancy Crumb and Mad Crumb Bakeshop. Grab a Hot Toddy from Rowhouse Spirits to keep you warm while you shop. You can't carve a turkey or prep veggies with dull knives - Neils Sharpening Service is back this Saturday so bring your knives and tools to be sharpened while you wait! Sharp knives are safer knives! Farmer updates: Betty's Acres will have goat milk, and goat cheese great for grilled cheese, salad toppings, or baked feta dishes. McCann’s will have a variety of apples, Sweet potatoes, cabbage, butternut squash, broccoli, cauliflower, spaghetti squash, spinach and more. Everwild Farm will have their mesclun mix, arugula, spinach, a wide variety of microgreens and shoots, parsley, cilantro, sage, thyme, rainbow chard, curly kale, bok choy, radicchio, pink celery, cherry radishes, beets, sweet hakurei turnips, kohlrabi, escarole, sweet stem cauliflower, and back this week after long-awaited return, carrots! Holiday Market Schedule This Saturday, Nov 19, will be the last market in November. The Market will be closed for the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend this year. We will have four markets in December - 3 Saturday Farmers Markets and our Holiday Craft Fair at the Fallsers Club on Midvale Ave in East Falls from 11:00am until 4:00pm. Farmer updates: Betty's Acres will have goat milk, and goat milk drinkable yogurt back in stock this week. What's Happening at the East Falls Farmers' Market The weather is warm and the market is bountiful as we count down to Thanksgiving - only 3 markets to go! This week, we'll have prepared food from Hank's Cinnamon Buns, Sazon2Go, and SmokeBreak BBQ. MadCrumbs Bakeshop returns with assorted macaron flavours including their Bad Bunny (coconut), and Phillies (Cracker Jack)! Jack from Moishe's Pickles reports that he'll have all the fan-favourite pickles, from Kossar's, and Vanilla Ruggala. Farmer updates: Betty's Acres will have Feta for topping grilled cheese sandwiches as well as your salads! It also makes yummy baked feta. McCann’s will have lots of apples (Cortland, Ginger Gold, Stamen, Golden Delicious, Fiji) as well as sweet potatoes, butternut squash, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, zucchini, cucumbers, and spinach.
